Job Description: Crawlspace Foundation Perimeter Reinforcement and Concrete Pouring

Project Overview:
This project involves structural reinforcement and concrete pouring around the perimeter of a crawlspace area measuring 2,287 square feet. The work will focus on digging trenches around the foundation (except for the front where the garage and concrete patio are), reinforcing the perimeter of the foundation with a custom concrete mixture, and addressing cracks with construction epoxy that allow water intrusion.

Job Scope:

1. Excavation & Trenching:
   • Digging trenches around the entire perimeter of the foundation (excluding the front section where the garage and patio are located).
   • Trenches will be dug carefully to ensure they are positioned properly for optimal foundation support and repelling water from penetrating the soil under the existing foundation and entering the crawlspace.
2. Reinforcement & Material Preparation:
   • Cinder bricks will be laid along one side of the entire trench perimeter for structural support.
   • A specially mixed concrete will be prepared with additional substances to increase density and ensure proper adhesion to the foundation. This mixture will also support long-term durability and prevent water-related issues.
3. Concrete Pouring & Form Construction:
   • Forms will be constructed around the trench perimeter to ensure uniform and consistent shape for the concrete.
   • The reinforced concrete will be poured around the perimeter of the foundation, covering the cold joint of the foundation and the underside of the structure.
   • Horizontal fiberglass rebar and dowels into the existing foundation will be included in the construction of the concrete.
4. Crack Repair & Sealing:
   • All visible cracks in the foundation will be grinded and prepped to provide a clean surface for applying structural epoxy.
   • Structural epoxy will be injected into the cracks to seal them, preventing moisture from entering the crawlspace and foundation.

Duration & Timeline:

• The estimated time for project completion is 10 days, depending on the curing time for the concrete and weather conditions.

Expected Outcome:
By the end of the project, the forms will be removed, the foundation perimeter will be reinforced with a durable, properly mixed concrete that prevents water penetration and provides added stability. The cracks will be sealed, and the crawlspace will be protected from future water-related issues.
